Washington Food Artisans: Farm Stories and Chef Recipes by Leora Y. Bloom showed up on my desk this week and made me dream of Pacific Northwest delights. Of bright red heavy filets of fresh king salmon, of blackberries as big as my thumb, of tender wild mushrooms from dewy meadows and forests floors, of bright crisp apples perfect for eating or baking.
