If you live in an area with a large Asian population, schools are off come Monday and some offices even close in honor of the lunar new year which occurs this Sunday. As those who celebrate it know, the lunar new year is a *big* holiday. If you're unfamiliar with it but like to mark occasions or are always up for a celebration, try eating foods considered "lucky" on this day for good luck all year. Oranges and other citrus are considered lucky, because they are the color of gold (the great taste, in-season status, and wonderful aroma can't hurt either!). Long, unbroken noodles are lucky as are other foods, such as chicken or fish, cooked whole.
