Cauliflower is a personal favorite of mine. As someone who eats, I love its nutty flavor; as someone who cooks, I love how flexible it is. I've gathered here readers' favorite cauliflower recipes for all to enjoy.

If you, perchance, still want more cauliflower, check out All About Cauliflower.

If you'd like some other flavors going, on, you might prefer this Curried Cauliflower Soup.

2. Steamed Cauliflower

Steaming cauliflower is super easy. I usually just do it in a pan with very little water, but microwaves and steamer baskets are fine solutions, too. See them all at How to Steam Cauliflower.

Most people serve steamed cauliflower with butter and salt and pepper, or perhaps a cheese sauce. These are delicious options. So, too, however, is Cauliflower With Pesto and Cauliflower With Mint.

3. Spicy Roasted Cauliflower

A bit of melted butter and a few spices plus the heat of a hot oven, and you can turn cauliflower into a snack or appetizer worthy of the most jaded of palates. Did I say snack? I did. I've been known to roast this up for myself, which may be a tad indulgent know that I think about it. See how to make Spicy Roasted Cauliflower here.

4. Baked Cauliflower Pakora

These baked fritter have lots of flavor from the well-spiced chickpea flour batter. I serve them with a simple mint-cilantro sauce for even more flavor, but some might say that's gilding the lily. Pass them at parties with toothpicks for eating, or make a plate of them and snack on them while you chat with a smaller group. Read the Recipe for Baked Cauliflower Pakora.

5. Cauliflower Fritters

These eggy cauliflower fritters are made with cauliflower, egg, flour, and salt. That's it. And they are remarkably tasty. Simple, but tasty. I've been known to make them the main attraction at dinner, with plenty of good bread with cheese and a giant salad to round things out. See how to make them with this Cauliflower Fritter Recipe.

6. Cauliflower Gratin

A gratin is any dish with bread crumbs, nuts, and/or cheese on top that is then baked so that topping becomes crispy. The combination of Parmesan and bread crumbs used here give plenty of flavor and crunch to the cauliflower underneath. The wee bit of garlic makes things pretty tasty, too. See the recipe for Cauliflower Gratin.

7. Cauliflower Pasta

Olives, capers, garlic, and red chile flakes work together to turn humble cauliflower into a spectacular sauce (more of a coating, really, than a sauce) for pasta. Be sure to cook the cauliflower until it is very tender; this is not a dish for crisp-tender vegetables; the "sauce" is created, partly, by the cauliflower starting to break down a bit from being cooked. The optional pickled green peppercorns add a definite kick for those who want to use them. Give it a try with this Cauliflower Pasta Recipe.
