Most fruit-flavored margaritas puree whole fruit into the mix and the result is thick and sweet. These cherry margaritas use muddled (and strained) cherries instead for a more sophisticated summer quencher.

Yield: 2 Cherry Margaritas
Ingredients:
- 6 cherries
- 1/4 cup tequila
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 2 tablespoons agave syrup (or 4 teaspoons honey)
Preparation:
Pit cherries and put them in a cocktail shaker or large glass. Muddle them with a muddler or large wooden spoon. Add tequila, lime juice, and agave syrup. Shake vigorously for at least a minute. Strain into two ice-filled glasses and serve.
