Fight the heat of summer (or crowded rooms) with this refreshing, homemade take on soda pop that harnesses the cooling power of cucumber with the bright taste of mint. Make it as sweet (or un-sweet) as you like.

Ingredients:
- 3 slices cucumber
- 2-4 mint leaves
- 1-2 Tbsp. sugar, simple syrup, mint syrup, agave nectar, honey, or other sweetener (plus more to taste, if you like)
- 1 tsp. fresh lime juice
- About 6 oz. club soda or seltzer water
- Ice
Preparation:
For each soda, put cucumber slices, mint leaves, sugar or other sweetener, and lime juice in glass. Muddle or crush these ingredients with a muddler or the end of a wooden spoon. Add soda, taste, and add more sweetener, if you like. Add ice and serve immediately.
