Mango lassis are the original fruit smoothies - mango, yogurt, and bit of lemon or lime juice blended together until smooth and refreshing. Great for breakfast, an afternoon refreshment, or even alongside spicy food at dinner.

Yield: 2 Mango Lassi
Ingredients:
- 1 mango
- 2 cups plain yogurt - whole milk will yield the most "drinkable" lassi since it doesn't contain thickeners, but low-fat or non-fat yogurt work, too
- Lime or lemon juice to taste
Preparation:
- Cut the mango into bite-size pieces. If you've never done this before, please see this step-by-step guide to cutting mango before you get started.
- Put mango pieces and yogurt in a blender and whirl until smooth. Add lime or lemon juice to taste - I like to use a teaspoon or two. The acid from the lime juice perks up the flavor of the whole thing, so be sure to give it a try. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
