Seattle Farmers' Markets

A quick guide to Seattle-area farmers' markets

By , About.com Guide

We aren't surprised Seattle has a lively local foods scene. Growing conditions are excellent and the city has a long history of support for public markets (demonstrated by the famed Pike Place market downtown).

Ballard Farmers Market

Over 100 vendors sell produce, prepared foods, fresh-baked breads, fish and seafood, and artisan-produced food stuffs at this lively street market in the heart of Ballard, an old Scandinavian neighborhood enjoying new life with an influx of hip stores, small restaurants, and young families. With musicians and other performers joining in, plenty of Seattleites come and make a day of it.
