Persimmons

Persimmons are a great treat in fall and early winter. They have a mild flavor and sweet-tart balance that makes them perfect for including in baked goods. Fuyus are thought of as "eating" persimmons (good sliced in salads, for example) while hachiyas are commonly considered "baking" persimmons. Find more info and recipes below.
