Set fruit cut-side-down on a clean, oiled cooking grate over a medium hot fire. Cover and cook until grill-marked, tender, and heated through, about 5 minutes for smaller softer fruit like apricots and peaches and 10 minutes for harder fruits like pears and apples.

You can turn the fruit over, if the fruit halves are particularly large or if you like.
