Homemade egg noodles are easy to make - or at least easier than you probably think. I've spelled out the process in sort of painful detail in this step-by-step guide so you can see how the dough looks at each stage. If you've tried making pasta before and found it less-than-satisfying, know that these egg noodles are much easier than Italian pastas since they aren't rolled out as thinly. If you have a pasta machine you can certainly use it, but a rolling pin, as shown in the following pictures, works just as well for these toothsome, homey treats.

To make Homemade Egg Noodles you'll need:

  • 1 cup flour, plus more for rolling out the noodles
  • 1/2 tsp. fine sea salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • Large bowl
  • Rolling pin
  • Drying/cooling rack or broom handle
