Arriving Late
- Hi, I help to run a farmers market and we do not allow "dumping". That is the process of selling your items at a lower rate near closing. Most of our farmers do this for a living, and this is a direct hit to their pocketbook. If they sold lower at closing, people would get wind of this and having a large crowd of people at closing expecting lower prices can get out of hand. Just a note on one item listed here..just remember, these farmers make a living selling their wares...it's not Wal-Mart.

Don't Be Afraid of the Ugly Veggies!
- You can often get a discount on bruised, bug-bitten, or slightly misshapen fruits and veggies, and if you ask "Got any banged-up extras hiding back there?" a friendly farmer may well toss an extra few ugly tomatoes or strawberries on top of your basket.
