- We don't boil crabs, we steam them with either Old Bay or a mixture of J.O. seasons. And yes, you can pick the rest for crab cakes...yummmmmmm. Oh, and most people either dip them in vinegar or just eat them plain, I've never met anyone who dips it in melted butter.
